Why Behaviour Matters More Than Personality

We are not talking here about competencies. And we are not talking about personality.

We are talking about people and their behaviour.

Behaviour is what others actually experience: how someone acts, decides, communicates, reacts, and responds. Especially at work.

Personality can influence behaviour, but it is not the same thing. Behaviour is shaped by several forces at once: personality, motivation, values, abilities, experience, environment – and of course learning.

So why focus on behaviour?

Because behaviour is where teamwork and leadership actually live. And where progress becomes possible.
